Chinese Contemporary Studio Crafts
We are delighted to have supported the current display Dimensions: Contemporary Chinese Studio Crafts at the Victoria and Albert Museum, showcasing the UK's first major display on the subject. It features ceramics, glass, lacquer, metalwork, and textiles by over 70 Chinese artists, running from October 2025 until September 27, 2026.
In the 1980s, Chinese artists began to reimagine craft as a medium for artistic expression. This display explores the dimensions of studio craft practice in China today, and the innovations which have grown from China's longstanding craft tradition. Beautifully curated by Dr Xiaoxing Li. The display was also supported by Tiān Foundation.

There will be a book published early next year to coincide with the display. Located in China (Gallery 44) and Ceramic Galleries (Gallery 146)
This is the first exhibition supported through our annual Curation Grant and will be followed by three further exhibitions through to 2028 at National Museum Scotland, Edinburgh, Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter and MIMA, Middlesborough.
