Chinese Contemporary Studio Crafts
The inaugural grant for 2025 has been awarded to Dr. Xiaoxin Li of the Asia Department, Victoria & Albert Museum for her display, DIMENSIONS: Chinese Contemporary Studio Crafts, which will manifest itself in the form of a major display within the China Gallery Room 44 and the Ceramics Gallery Room 146 in 2025.
Dimensions: Chinese Contemporary Studio Crafts is developed from a research and acquisition project started in 2021. The display will be a major presentation of the development and achievement of studio craft making in China since the 1980s, reflecting the many dimensions of artistic practice and how these ideas refer to China's longstanding craft tradition.
