Queerly Made will be the UK’s first major exhibition of modern and contemporary queer craft. Developed in dialogue with communities through an innovative engagement programme, Queerly Made develops new research, engagement and impact concerning queer art practice and identity in the UK. Led by independent researcher Dr Daniel Fountain and MIMA’s Curator Helen Welford, this project addresses current gaps in scholarly work and trials new curatorial methodologies. Queerly Made comprises an exhibition of new and existing work, featuring MIMA’s rich collection and a series of new commissions.
